i have an otherwise stock 80 E150, stick, w/ OD trans. I recently put on a Offy C intake w/ a 2bbl adapto, a 1.21 Autolite carb off a 69 or so V8, and a set of the Fuel Injection type 3 into 1 x 2 exhaust manifolds. That runs to a gutted Cat, a 27 in cherrybomb, and exits in front of the rear wheel. Not only does the truck run a lot smoother w/ noticable power increases, but Im getting at least 4 more MPG driving under mixed conditions.
9iytll do better on the highway, I figure) I was getting 10-12, now its 16.6. Sick/sad part is before, when I got lousy mileage & the thing wouldnt get out of its own way, it was Cal smog legal. Now, Im a criminal, using less gas. Go figure. Im real happy with this setup. In the long run I see a 240 head & some port matching & bowl work, and the RV cam I hear so much about. This was a great upgrade that will pay for itself in fuel savings over time...mutt
