Well, spent $1700.00 so far on engine. Should be on dyno in a week or two.
Steel crank, cryogenically treated rods (?), forged pistons, .030 over bore, solid roller lifters, manly custom 7/16" pushrods, crane roller rocker arms, BBC tulip valves (cut down..I forget the size  ), welding/epoxy and porting in head, everything is balanced and blueprinted.
That's what it was, he is just freshening it up with line bore and new bearings, rehone and new rings, new valve guides. Not sure of power, hoping he's right, he predicts at least 350hp!
Oh yeah, I forgot the homemade ram intake and 750 AFB competition series carb. The headers are 1.75" primaries 24" long with 2 1/2" collectors 14" long.
Bought a new powerglide, old one was almost gone. (Art carr 1500.00) Getting the converter for Christmas! haha
This is a great new hobby, however I've spent going on $10,000 for a couple dozen passes.
(and the wife complained about the plane) :p
Only downside I guess is that the chassis hasn't been started yet.
More when I get back.
