I have a stock Chevy 194 ( except for clifford headers) and want to put on a new intake, but i cant find the number for Offenhauser. But before i do that i wanted to know if they are any better than Clifford's ,Ill will be using a Holley 390 with it. So if any one has the number please let me know so I cant get some more information about it.

Don't worry too much about contacting Offy. I haven't found any info on them. I think they just like to make the products and have other people sell them. PAW, Tom Langdon, other vendors on the site, etc. I picked mine up from a guy online for $47 shipped to my door. Not a single thing was wrong with it. Just do a little searching. John

I have a Clifford Manifold on an otherwise stock motor, and I have no low-end torque. Go with the Offy! To me the Clifford is an all-out race manifold.

Ok it looks like im going to go with the Offy, but my next question is do i really need a "manifold heater?" I hear people talk about them in here and it got me thinking that i might need one. I live Central California, so will that make a difference?

I don't want to sound rude, trust me, but that topic has some long threads on it. Do a search in the archives, and make your own judgement. Some people have said they never noticed a difference, and others have said it's a noticable difference.
If the temps. in your area do get higher than about 85F, and/or you run headers, you'll want to run some type of insulator spacer between the carb and manifold. I had a problem with vapor lock on a long trip one time. I'm running headers, it was very hot, and I didn't use a spacer. I hope this helps. John
