I've fallen heir to Grandma's old Plymouth and also have a Tattersfield head, Fenton intake and exhaust, and Mallory ignition. Objective is old timey ride with glass packs. Engine is still in the car. How do I identify which parts fit this engine? Better yet, what identifies the engine - vin, s/n, ?

Any feed back?

Assuming the engine is original to the car-- it is a 218 cubic inch. Dodge had a 230 inch engine that was the same except for the stroke. Check the I.D. number on the side of the engine, the number will tell you what engine. Measure the cylinder head, it should be 23 inches long.

You didn't mention what year this car is,in '46 thru the 1st month of '49 I think the eng. only had P-15 stampted on the block just above the gen. on a machined surface.Could have had some numbers after P-15,can't rem.
