if you have a 201 it is not a dodge engine. plymouth had the 201 from 36 to 41. dodge had 218 from 36. crysler had a 241. i have a 218 1936 dodge engine in my 38 plymouth. i used the plymouth bell housing and trans. the combination was a perfect fit. i have a 56 dodge engine which is the same length as the 36, 25 inches. i hope this helps. good luck. bob
