I recently acquired 2 matching Carter WA-1 Carbs, # 968S on the tags. Only info I could find is that they may be 1952-53 Hudson Hornet Twin-H carbs.Any info would help. If I can find more #'s after clean up, I'll post them if it helps ID them.

OOPS! This probably should have been in AMC forum.

You might get an answer from the strangest of sources on this one...

There's a guy who used to run a stock car team with Hudsons in the early fifties, his son posts on another forum. e.mail the son (buford@lvmc.com) and ask him to ask his old man.

Drew. The source I have shows the WA-1 990S as fitting the 52-54 Hudson Wasp/Super Wasp twin carb motors.(2-11/16" centers).
I can't find a #968S listing in any WA-1 for any car. I know a source for a new matched pair of the 990's. Sold only as a set. $$$$$$$.
The Stromberg BXUV-35 is a replacement carb for one model WA-1 but has 2-5/16" centers.
These WA-1's were on many 40-50's makes except Ford and Caddy. Everybody else seems to have used them with slightly different #'s. Probably stick vs auto, manual vs auto choke and linkage differences. Don
