Is there any way to change the oiling system in the flat 6 from a bypass to a full flow? What tricks and what hardware is needed?
Thanks in advance

Dear Justin;
I don't think there is for that application.
If there is, I haven't seen one. Industrial engines (generators/forklifts) of that era were the same as the cars.
The 'full flow' ones (cars) didn't come out till a few years later on the V-8s around l954.

Justin-
It can be done, partly depending on the year of the block, large or small block, etc.
Contact Don Coatney over on the P15-D24 site, he has done the mods to his Desoto big block six.

The small blocks have been converted a couple of different ways. I converted mine by going fully external, and someone else had a really elegantly simple conversion. As Blueskies suggested, the P15-D24 site is where to go for answers.

Justin,
did you ever find a method to add the full flow filtering to your engine. I did it on mine but not what you would expect.
Cheers
