Useing a 292 crank In a 230,250 block You end up a with low deck/sb 292. the last pricing I had on something like this was around a grand for a crank & pistons. weights have to be cut down and special ordered pistons are needed. And some feel/say That the crank wants to push every thing out the side of the block due to the crank stroke.I would have thought the 292 would fit in that impala Your only talking a 1 1/2 taller motor. What are you plains? for this car.}[oooooo]
