Hi all! I’ve been checking out this page for the past couple of years. It’s been a great resource helping me shape some ideas on customizing my ‘34 Plymouth PE.

I picked up this ‘34 back in 1994 in Arizona from an old Hispanic miner whose dad bought the car new. The car had been sitting for years but was solid and ran. My dad took the body off the frame and painted everything, more to preserve the car than anything. So, twelve years later I’ve got the time and the resources to finish the car.

What I’m looking to do is build a mild custom keeping the original engine but adding some modern touches. My first priority is to get the drive train in order before I do any of the cosmetics. I’d like to build the original 201 engine like bluesky’s with the dual intake/exhaust. I'm thinking a using an Edgy head. I want to hook that up to a modern tranny using a something like the Wilcap adaptor. I'm not sure if this is all possible with the 201 though.

The front has the original IFS but needs completely rebuilt. I think Butch's Rod Shop has rebuild kits for these as well as disc brake conversions. It would also be nice to drop the car 4-6 inches. I wonder if I could adapt an Air Ride suspension to this?

I'll try to post pictures as I go along and I'll definitely be dropping more questions. This is going to be fun!
