The high volume pump and heavy oil?? I ran a high volume pump & 20/50 weight for oil @ 7000 plus rpms With stock and Non Stock dist gears NOt a issue. Whos cam? What Gearing are you running? and what tire size. I have seen this Issue come up on my buddies Pinto one time after we change out the rear end The Gearing in it was way off and the car would never run over 4500 and I'm thinking like 50-55 mph at best. But the stock rear end back in it and Run like it's Butt was on fire and 6000 rpms Hope this helps}[oooooo]
