Hey Steve, I was actually pondering the same upgrade for my '68 C-30. I will be keeping the rear drums, but I mainly want to swap the front for discs.
Bigchev's idea of swapping the whole front end sounds good since I need to rebuild mine. I know I can't use a 1/2 ton front on a 1 ton (8 lugs), but what about a 3/4 ton setup? I'd like to know more myself about this since brakes are REALLY important.
