I posted this in the drivetrain column, but shoulda put it here. I just found out that bellhousings from AMC Spirits and two wheel drive Jeep Cherokees built from '81 to '83, used Pontiac-built 2.5 Liter four bangers. These engines have the same bellhousing flange that the smallblock V8s and I-6s have. They have FORD transmissions behind them and if you get a good deal on a 4 or 5 speed Ford tranny from a Jeep Cherokee, AMC Spirit, Mustang or Cougar, you can use one of those belhousings behind your 194,230,250, or 292s!
