Also using the correct information(factory shop manual)for the engine you are working on.Canadian Chevy std.shift cars may have used the Powerglide engine and not the babbit pounder we got in the U.S.----Canadian Pontiacs got the 261 Jobmaster six cylinder engine in cars and we in the (U.S.) only got it in large trucks.
