I love that style of Jeep and your project sounds interesting. Hope you build an album and post it here as you go. One of my favorite pickups was a 134 flathead 4-banger in a 2WD '49, or '50 Willys pickup. It was slow but got good mileage and almost never gave any trouble. It was easy to repair, too.
