Yeah, the firewall clearence hadn't occured to me till you mentioned it, kinda shortsighted of me, the old rochesters looked like they were gonna fit fine, I'm hoping I can pull the chokes off and make it work but who knows, might have to break out the BFH.
I'll post some pics when I get things together..
