I do not have a manuel for my car so sorry for the torque questions... I have a 1970 250 motor that I am putting in my 1960 biscayne and I was wondering how much I should tighten the timing cover. Any help would be great...

Dear Mr. Lee;

They are probably 1/4" cap screws and there is no 'torque' setting etc. Just "good & snug" is the best advice because of the size.

"Torque settings" or specs. apply to groups of bolts ie; a head, intake manifold on a V-8, flywheel or bolts holding machined parts together like rod/main caps etc.

Screws generaly don't fall into this area except in aircraft or aerospace stuff.

Good luck, John M......
