I run mine with out the kick down. It won't hurt a thing as far as the trans goes.
If you really want a kick down, head off to the salvage yard and find any in-line with the bracket that bolts to the intake. Yours may all ready have it, its hard to tell in the picture. The lever part you have, its the black three legged piece where the throttle cable is hooked to. The lower "leg" is where the kick down hooks to. You can get the cables at any parts store or transmission shop. Not much to installing or adjusting. Joe
Just a side note, the air filter is way to small for kind of performance, try stacking two elements under the lid.
