I had 2" straight pipes on the 270 that went all the way to the back bumper. It sounded great at idle and when I was on it. The rest/most of the time it was too loud. I put 28" glass packs on and I was surprised at how much quieter it is. It's still noisy and maybe too loud for the guy behind me but I like it. When I get old I'll put some 36" glass packs on.
I only got one ticket the whole time I lived in Oakland was when I was trying to bounce the front wheels off the ground at Broadway and MacArther In my '48 Fleetline. The cops were pretty busy with Angles, Hippies and Panthers back then.
