Ken, they do make headers for the integral head. I have seen them at a swap meet. If you look real closely at the angle of the flange in the above photo, those pipes could not go into a stock vehicle if you tried to bolt them onto the side of the head. With that angle, they have to bolt to the bottom of the intake.
