Inliners International Forums General Discussion Drive Train Nobody? pull a steering box from a early nova

little confused, there is approx a 30" shaft coming out of the steering box, and the box butts up against the shock tower,,?the box can't slide forward but about 1/2", does it tip or something,,, if it tipped, wouldn't the shaft hit the dash,,??
