I am in need of a distributor for my Chevy 250 rebuilt engine.

Anyone used the CRT distributor and have good results?

Or just buy a distributor from a auto salvage yard?

Thanks, Jimmy

You can get one from a salvage yard, but you'll probably want to have a reputable distributor shop go through it and make sure everything is working proprely and that the bushings are in good shape. I've never heard of CRT, so I can't offer any suggestions there. Pertronix makes a good distributor, and so does Mallory. You can also contact Tom Langdon. He makes a really neat HEI unit for the 194-250 engines.

MSD also makes a complete distributor system for 250 series sixes use it with a 6A box and a blaster 2 coil and you will have a fantastic ignition.

Been there, Done that, Hope to live long enough to do it again.
