I have a 51 Chevy Fleetline Deluxe with a 235 3 speed. What would it take to switch the 3 speed with a powerglide? What would I need besides the powerglide and column shifter? Would it be a direct bolt in?
Find some information on the tailshaft length. Also location of transmission mounts. I had a powerglide hooked to a 250 on a 66 Bel Air. It was fine for in town and I got 20 mpg average.
