I have a Edelbrock SP2P intake,I am going to use with a holley-weber carb.

I have found a holley 390 cfm carb, for a reasonable price.Which I will use on a offy four barrel intake.

My question which set up would be the best to use.I want to use the set up that will give me the best fuel mileage. On my rebuilt Chevy 250 engine.

The Holley weber will be better than the 390.

does the sp2p intake use a 1 bbl or a 2 bbl carb? if a 2 bbl do as hank says. the progressive holley /weber 2 bbl is the one to use.

I had the work on the block, crank, head.Done by a machinenist,
who has done machine work on engines.Longer than I have been alive.I am 46 years old.

The block is bored and sleeved for new stock style and stock
size pistons.

Block is zero decked.

Regrounded crank,all new bearings,crank,piston,cam.

The head has new stock size valves, new stock rockers, new springs, lifters, push rods, new harden valve sets.

To sum it up.
Everything in the engine, except the crank,is new.

Everything on and in the head is new.

As for the cam,I was only told it is one step up from stock.

I know I need to ask what cam was used.

Well the SP2P was designed as a stock replacement for Over all improvement to performance and fuel. And for the way that the intake is divided,The webber /holley will have to sit like the 4b does on a offey intake (90 deg). With the spacer Tom sells the carb will sit high enough to split both primary & secondarys
over the center runner right under the carb. Then the fuel will split again from there into each runner. With as small as the runners are you should have Great vacum for the carb.
