Does the 250 run cooler running at highway speeds?
Or does the 250 only over heat at idle at a stand still?
If you are sure the temp guage is working properly.Temp. sending unit is located in the head.
You could remove the high volume water pump.Replace it with a
standard volume water pump from your choice of parts store.
I would also replace the thermostat with a new one.I have had
good luck using fail safe brand thermostat.
