I have what I believe is a stock 235 in my 59 truck. Below my fuel pump there are two lines coming out. One is short and loops right back into the block. The other runs up and back along the top of the lifter cover... but it is not connected to anything.

I assume that it's a vacuum line... but what should it be connected to?????

Dear Memo;

Probably nothing.

Sounds like you have a pump with a vacume boster. These were used in the early 50's to keep the vacume wiper motors of that era from stopping, when you speed up etc.

A 59 has electric wipers so It's not needed.

When it wears out just replace it with a 'single' one.

Good luck, John M....
