The flex plate will not fit from any SBC with a newer design 1 piece rear seal. It will have to be from a 85 or older V8.

I have used the 168 tooth ring gear on multiple applications. Use a starter from later model engine , such as a 99' with a 350. They had a small high tq starter. lots of clearance with them. Tom
