Here is what I cobbled together. I scrounged everything from the local u-pull-it yard. Plus bent up a few tabs out of scrap stainless steel. My Nova has a cable but your throttle rod could pull that cable that loops around the carb just as easy. I even saw a guy that used bicycle cable to do the same thing.
