230-250-292 series inlines have the same flywheel flange pattern as small and big block up till the mid-'80s when the one-piece rear main seal was introduced on the small block.
Exceptions to watch for are late 292 with 1/2 inch flywheel bolts, 400 and 454 external balance weight, and '80s up one-piece rear main seal.
