Hi... I'm building a 292 and I have a 250 head (#3927763). Is the combustion chamber the same size as the 292 head? If not, how would it change my compression. Thanks!

Howdy, if you look to the left in the blue area, there is "Tech Tips". In there is a heading called "Late GM head volumes" Find the casting number on your head and take a look. Other than the 194 heads, most are real close. Good luck.

That head is also listed as a 230 head from 1965-70 But anyway that head Untouched had a CC of 74cc's also listed in 73-79 (250)
an 75-85 (250 non-integr head)& 292 67-85 with 74ccs
So you will not gain or lose anything.
