I have been block seaching and found 63-66 292 blocks have .040 more material around the cylinder walls. It also has a little more material on the deck. This block was prone to crack in the 2nd freeze plug area. The block I have looks O.K. as for a higher nickel block I dont think there are any because the motors never intended to be performance engines.
