The "hi lift-Corvette cam" only
holds the valve open longer, as
the piston moves downward, Sir.
About every cam grind possible,
has been tried (over the years) &
the intake valve is still closed,
when the piston reaches TDC.
Even "maxed out" 5,000 RPM + they
still don't hit.
