I've read the same about overlap and blowers:
ChevyPerformance - Take Charge
but you may well be able to go with a bit more duration then stock and still avoid excessive overlap.

And apparently a dual-pattern grind is best - with longer duration on the exhaust lobe so that everything you pump-in has time to get-out.
