I have them on three of my trucks,it's fairly easy to do, drill and tap a few holes in the block. You will have to pull the radiator and grille to do it properly.Just remember, the early pump is designed to run at about a 1.4 ratio, the pump spins faster than the crank. On two trucks, I used a Ford pump pulley from a 200 six cylinder to keep the pump speed correct when using the larger 235 type damper/pulley combo.
The trucks have no low speed cooling issues like with the low mounted short pump. And on the hiway the engines seem to run slightly cooler too.
