True, however, if you keep the electrical center (fuse/relay box) and remove the unwanted/un-needed relays/wires it keeps the install really tidy. All the wires enter/exit (except the power feed) via gang plugs. The wire terminals lock into the gang plug and can be removed by depressing the terminal retainer lock.
