Inliners International Forums General Discussion Electrical engine misses

I just rebuilt my 292, when I fired it up it has a miss. While running, I attached my inductive timing light to each spark plug wire. all but #6 triggered the timing light. I swapped plug wires and still #6 would'nt trip the timing light. Normally this would tell me that the dist. cap is bad...The cap looks like new and the plugs are new. any suggestions?? Thanks

If you have access to an ohmeter, you can test the #6 lug in the cap to see if it shows continuity to verify its the culprit. Sounds like it probably is.
