Probably fine. Most of the structural support is at the bottom. Further, the belt tight side pulls in line with the bottom pivot which will tend to reduce loads at the top.
What's with the huge adjustment slot? Long belt looks like the photo with lots of extra slot toward the block, short belt to tuck in the alternator leaves the bracket protruding. Buy it then cut and weld to make it better.
