Hello,

I was wondering.. I've always heard that inline sixes were better balanced and had less harmonics than V's and inline fours because of the pistons only moving in one plane instead of two, and because it was better to have the powers strokes spaced 120 degrees apart versus 90 degrees. Something about perfect inner balance...

Is this correct?

However when I got Leo's book, he stated the exact opposite. Apparently most of the old timers do too. Is this just because they were referring to 292s which have an extremely long stroke, or am I missing something?

Thanks,
Luis
