on my first 250 rebuild i noticed some fairly deep scratches on the block where the cam bearings go when i took them out. they look like they were made when bearings were installed because they didn't look fresh like i had made them pressing the bearings out. they don't run around the hole like the bearing spun. the old bearings themselves have some scratches and small pieces embeded in the same pattern on the outside that contacts the block. i have got the block back from the machine shop and am starting to put it back together and wondered if this is a problem.also from reading old posts i know the 250 has two sizes of bearings the center ones are smaller. i can measure the old bearings and the outside ones measure 2.100 " the inside measure 2.050 ". does this mean i need the older style bearings my block casting # isn't helpful. also any tricks on making sure oil holes are aligned when installing new ones? thanks, hoggyrubber
