After cranking my 59 Suburban I noticed it sounded dry. After a peak at my Oil pressure gauge I shut it down fast......no oil pressure. Turns out there has developed a crack just above the drain plug. Anyone have an extra pan for sale near Nashville?

Dear Mr. Garretthes;

NAPA sells a repair kit for that (fiberglass) or the pan could removed & welded.

Good luck, John M.....

Weld the pan. A good welder should be able right where it sits AS Long as it is not into the threads of the drain plug.It should be a easy job. If it is into the threads Your Going to need a GOOD Tap Not a L cheap O. Hope this helps.

PS.If you can get it off and for what ever REason you can't find anyone to Fit it Send It to me I'll Fix. Send me a Pic if you can Of the Cracked area..Even If it is Into the threads It can Be FIXED

Dear Mr. G;

Larry is right, get it welded.

However; Doing it on the vehicle there is a major chance of explosion/fire etc.

So just take it off and have HIM fix it. He'll send it back "looking like new."

Thanks for the offer Larry, I did take it off, welded it and it's back on. I just broke down and bought a welder.
