Confused? You still need the pipe at the front of the head to feed oil to the rockers from the now filtered oil gallery. Many make that about a .060" for the feed. If you are still using the overflow tube on the rocker arm shaft near the center it may not make any difference. I now run a lot of pressure so I control flows to different parts of the engine with orifaces
The old bypass oil filter emptied right at the distributor which sprayed at the gear. I still do that with a line tee-ed off the rocker line. I solder up a fitting and drill a .035" hole at a slight angle aiming at the distubtor gear.
