Those are some great pictures! That's one heck of a fabrication project. Interesting stuff.

Yes That is Leo Santucci's Head. This Head takes alot of Work ,Not just the head also Redrilling the Block and Fabing New side lifter covers and Valve cover. Then You have the Intake & exhaust to deal with. This Has been done with Both The Low deck(230,250's) along with the tall deck 292. But again Not something for the low Budget Builder especialy when you think about the Cost of the Heads and then to have it cut up and then Rewelded and the machine work. But All & All Yes i have to agree It is one killer set-up HUH }[oooooo]

It's cool, no doubt. You need to make (by cutting) a headgasket or purchace one from Falconer. Exhaust and intake is the same story. The block deck needs to be redrilled and tapped to the new bolt pattern, most go into the water jacket, so sealing is nessesary. The sideplate (which must be fabricated)is a bear to keep sealed as well. Lots of fun but lots of work as well. Goes real good! Arm

Does anybody know what that car weights? 10.04 is pretty stout for a PG transmission, 3.50 gears and tall tires.

The car weighed about 3000 lbs. w/ me in it. Leo and crew are installing complete fiberglass front end and doors now to lower the weight. We will be in the 9's this season w/ the car, with a goal of 8's by end season. Goal next year is to be the 1st Full Bodied L6 car in the country to hit 200+ mph! But, we wil take it one step at a time. Ken, Driver and Engine Builder for Leo. www.CustomDesignPerformance.com

I've mumbled under my breath the costs I've paid for machining work, but I'll tell you when I look at what Ken and Custom Design & Performance displays on this forum I can imagine the hours spent on design and actual machine work to completion and I really am impressed. I need to give more respect to my local machine shop for their efforts too.

Thanks everyone for the welcome to the BB.
I will try and assist as much as possible.
Yes, we are very busy w/ Leo's engines, and the hundreds of others we do also. Too many hours to even get into, but it is all working out very well.
Twisted6, we are very impressed with the new lumps, and hopefully I will be able to do some installing and testing in the next few weeks.
