Inliners International Forums General Discussion Engines engine size x front to rear,length wise

I have started work on the 1936 dodge truck this week and would prefer to use the GM 292 six and GM automatic. what length difference between the 292 and the stock '36 dodge truck 6 cyl. engine.I have unsuccessfully tried to search and most likely not correctly asking with proper nomenclature.or steer me in the correct path. very much appreciate time taken on the subject
