To bad he really thought it was a 292 Just because the paper work said it was.Other clues side covers to small, fuel pump location, motor mount, Oil pan (ChevyII Only), Boss for the Z bar at oil pan rail,Dampener single pulley makes it either 194 or 230.90% of the 250 all had dual groove pulleys

Too bad nobody makes headers for those. It's cool that you can just bolt on three swap meet carbs with all the stock innards.

apparently they checked the casting numbers . . .

I was thinking that the 'take-out' went back into the crate from which the 292 emerged . . . but the engine on camera doesn't appear to have ever been run.
