You'll never shut up the 350 cult. If you can out run some of them they will make excuses and call someone you can not beat. They have 50 more cubic inches and the after market on their side. But you can gain some respect from some of them. Mostly they will think you are their cute little brother and they will tell their friends, 'This is my friend chopperwolf he just runs a 6."
The next step would be head work to the level of performance you want and the appropriate cam for your modifications and the driving you really do. You can't have it all but you can demand respect.
