Just a quick question before put the oil pan on. I am in the middle of building a 292 and it has been awhile since the last time I built an engine. How hard should it be to hand turn a 292? It seems very smooth and checked all clearences and there is no binding but I put a torque wrench on the damper bolt and it takes about 33 lbs to turn it. Is that excesive or ?
Thanks Perry

It is excessive if you only laid the crankshaft, but seems reasonable for full assembly without spark plugs.

Dear Perry;

Sounds okay. Don't forget to prime the oil pump.

Good luck, John M....
