the ones i am talking about use the same cartrage as the 283-327's from the 50's 60's. on the 6 they are a little work to change i can see using the spinon there. i like them on the track because you dont get a hole punched in them as guick.
and you are right to want an oil filter if you did not need one we would not have them on cars now.
every 261 i ever saw the oil filter was bolted to the intake manifold and plumbed to the motor with steel lines.
if you do mount it remote then use braded s.s. lines if not the lines will break from vibration.
