Prior to the Germans and Japanese putting a stopper on activities in the very late thirties, somebody built up a race car in South Australia with two Essex engines in line...

It was bought by Eldred Norman, who later became very famous in the racing world. His first step to fame came when he joined up two Ford SV V8s in a race car... but that's not an 'inliners' topic, is it?

A Northern CA Inliner is building an early Buick with 2 straight eights inline. May make the 12 Port News next year, can't wait.
