I got 2 motor mounts made by Anchor for my 292-powered C10, and I'm having trouble getting the frame to mount holes to line up. They look a little different from the worn out ones I removed, but the mount holes line up. How can I get these things mounted?

I've used some Anchor mounts before, and all the holes were full of rubber from the manufacturing process. I had to use a bottoming tap and a knife to clean it all out.
The frame mounting brackets should be bolted on to the frame through slotted holes. If you loosen all the bolts, the mount brackets should be able to slide 1/2" or so forward and backward. Then you can start the bolts into the mounts. Make sure you don't tighten anything until all the bolts are started and threaded most of the way in.

I was curious how you are supporting engine. Is the engine too high or low for the bolts to line up? I use a floor jack with a block of wood between jack and engine.

I ended up getting the mounts installed after loosening all the fasteners and screaming for a while. I lifted the front of the motor with an engine hoist w/o success. Once the oil pan was in place (replaced gasket), I used a floor jack to raise the motor and a bottle jack off the frame to move the motor left & right.
The mounts are very stiff, and the rig rattles a bit at idle. OTOH it does accelerate better off the line. I tweaked the shifter linkage, so I need to figure out how to get it back in place.
