with the 194 and dished pistons It will bring you into the 9-1 range. With a flat top it will bring you into about the 10-1 range. And you shouldn't need the Higher octane. Have a guy here running a 10-1 and he is still on plain pump gas. and I have never seen or Heard of him having a issue with it.
