On my 250 to 292 engine swap I have been unable to find any bone yard with the p/s, alt brackets and water pump pulley I need. So now I am left with several options on which way to modify the brackets and which way to set up the belts.
First the balancers last belt grove matches with the first groove in the w/p pulley. The alt bracket can be fairly easy made to match this. P/S bracket will have major mods no matter which way I go
Should I:
1. Set the alt as described and the have the p/s to run off the w/p pulley only (it won,t work going directly to the balancer).
2. Put a small spacer between w/p pulley and w/p to line up balancer and pulley groves( Do they make such a spacer?).
3. Or are there any other options?
